In this powerful episode we focus on Adversity and how you can use it to become stronger from the inside out. We outline principles and tactics that will guide you to living a life with purpose.
Our guest today is Marcus Aurelius Anderson. He is the author of The Gift of Adversity, a TEDx Motivational Speaker, Mindset Coach and Life Long Martial Artist. His story is uplifting and has so many lessons that you can implement into your life.
At 38 Marcus signed up with the U.S. Army and while waiting to be deployed he suffered a severe injury that would change his life forever. Marcus suffered a severe spinal injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. He died twice on the operating table and was told he would never walk again. He discovered he was left with two choices, he could either be a victim, or he change his mindset. Marcus refused to be a victim and during his Mind-Shift he found lessons to be learned from his injury. He soon discovered that his adversity was a gift and used it to elevate his mindset and strengthen his spirit. While it was a long and difficult road, Marcus' warrior spirit ultimately won the battle.
